Give to the Diana M. Pearce Center for Women’s Welfare Project Fund

This fund provides support for the research and calculation of the Self-Sufficiency Standard, which generates the cost of meeting basic needs, such as food, housing, health care, etc., varied by place and family type. Typically, it is calculated for 700+ family types, and for each county. The Standard is used by community organizations, non-profits, workforce development agencies, policy centers, and foundations.

The Center is a self-sustaining organization within the University of Washington School of Social Work. We rely on funding from our partners and individuals to ensure the consistent calculation and analysis of the cost of basic needs for families across the United States. We thank you for your support!
